Kiva allows you loan money to small businesses in the developing world and help the working poor make great strides towards economic independence. Through the course of the loan (usually 6-12 months), you can receive email journal updates from the business you've sponsored. You can help with an interest free loan as small as $25. When loans are repaid you get your money back. Then you have the option to withdraw your money or lend it to another business to help another family build a better life for themselves.

I dreamed of unicycling & Juggling since I was a kid. But I always used the excuse: "I could never do that", "I don't have the time", or "Where do you buy a Unicycle anyway?" It took me 24 years to finally get around to buying a unicycle and a set of juggling clubs, but I'm sure glad I did! I started Unicycling & Juggling in August 2000, and I've been doing it ever since. My first unicycle was a Savage 24". This unicycle only last me 34 days before I broke the frame :-( Now I have a total of 7 unicycles: 1. Semcycle XL 20" Free style. |
